Rice Fields, and a headwind.

Today started innocently enough, we got going a little bit late, but not too bad.  Out of Oberlin we hit the rice fields!  That was very exciting for me since I’ve never seen them before. We saw fields in all stages, from not yet planted, to just planted, to being in process of being flooded, to already flooded.  Very very neat. 🙂

The wind was against us, and that made the riding a lot harder and longer than expected, especially considering the completely flat ground. Audrey’s wheel was wobbling, and giving her problems even after she did her best to get it trued last night after changing the spokes. Hard day.

The RV Park tonight is a little bit sketchy, but the people are friendly and the showers were hot.  There is a Catfish festival at the other campground in town just down the road, and we can hear the music quite clearly from here.  Hopefully since this is Sunday the festival will end a little bit early tonight.  One of the ladies in the RV Park actually gave us comp tickets to the festival, but we were so beat from the riding today that unfortunately we had to decline. And so now head to bed after a hard day.
